For an online store, the best influencer platform is the one that attributes orders to each creator automatically and fits how you want to pay creators: a fee per post, a commission per sale, or both. That means checking three things before price: which store platforms it connects to, whether it tracks both links and discount codes, and whether returned orders are excluded.

How to choose for your store
You’re on Shopify and want commission-only affiliates. Shopify Collabs is the cheapest start: free to install, commissions billed through your Shopify bill. Its help center currently says it isn’t accepting new creator signups, so check whether the creators you want can join.
You’re on Shopify and want discovery plus commissions in one tool. Modash (database search with a two-way Shopify sync) or Upfluence (search plus marketplace, broad store integrations).
You’re on WooCommerce, Magento or BigCommerce. Upfluence names all three; impact.com names WooCommerce and BigCommerce.
You want to pay creators a fee per post, held until you approve, and also run commissions, on any store. GetCollab: creator fees sit in escrow until you approve, affiliate commissions are held for your return window, and orders come in by CSV from any store today, with a direct Shopify sync coming soon.
You sell on Amazon too. Upfluence supports Amazon Attribution.
Social commerce platforms
Social commerce means the purchase happens inside the social app (TikTok Shop, Instagram/Facebook shops) or one tap away from a creator’s post. Creator platforms plug into it in two ways:
- Native shops: TikTok Shop has its own affiliate program, where creators earn commission on products tagged in videos and lives. It’s TikTok-only.
- Link and code attribution: the creator sends viewers to your own store with a tracked link or code. Works across Instagram, YouTube and any store.
Most brands use both: native shop affiliates on TikTok, and tracked links and codes everywhere else, so every creator’s sales land in one report.
GetCollab covers Instagram and YouTube creators with tracked links and codes; it doesn’t connect to TikTok Shop.
What tools help creators drive online sales
- A unique discount code gives the audience a reason to buy now, and attributes sales that didn’t click.
- A landing page or storefront with the products the creator featured.
- Commission on top of a fee keeps the creator posting after the contracted post.
- Fast payouts keep good creators working with you.
FAQ
Do I need Shopify to run influencer campaigns? No. Tracked links work with any store, and most platforms accept order uploads or have APIs. Native Shopify integrations save manual work.
Which platform is best for fashion brands? Fashion has high return rates, so pick one that holds commissions until the return window closes (Shopify Collabs and GetCollab both do; check others). See fashion & jewellery.
What’s a good first campaign for a small online store? Gift product to 10–20 micro creators who already use products like yours, pay a modest fee to the ones whose content you like, and give every creator a code. See how to find micro-influencers.
