1. Your Right to Data Erasure
GETCOLLAB TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("GetCollab") respects your right to control your personal data. You may ask us to delete your personal data at any time, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws. Because GetCollab handles deals, payments and billing, deleting an account works by anonymizing your identity and removing certain connections, not by an irreversible wipe of every record. Section 4 explains exactly what is removed and what is kept.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion in any of these ways:
- Self-service in the app: Log in at app.getcollab.in, open Settings and use "Delete Account". If nothing is blocking deletion (Section 3), the account is anonymized when you confirm.
- Email: Write to grievance@getcollab.in with the subject "Data Deletion Request", from the email address registered on your account (or include it, with your name, so we can verify your identity).
- Contact form: Use the Contact Us form and select "Data deletion" as the inquiry type.
Facebook / Instagram / Google users: this page is our data deletion instructions page for Meta and Google reviewers and users. If you signed in with, or connected, a Facebook, Instagram or Google/YouTube account, follow the steps above, and also see Section 6 to remove the stored connection.
3. Deletion Blockers
We cannot complete account deletion while the following are open, because they involve money or obligations owed to or by other users:
- Active or paused campaigns belonging to your Brand organization
- Open or in-progress deals involving your account
- Funds currently held for a deal involving your account
- Unpaid or pending settlements owed to or by your account
- Open disputes involving your account
- A wallet balance, unwithdrawn earnings or a payout in progress
If any of these apply, the app shows what must be closed, paid out or resolved first. Once resolved, you can delete the account.
4. What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted
What we remove or anonymize when the account is deleted:
- Your sign-in identity: the account email is replaced with a placeholder and your name with "Deleted user"; your phone number, password hash and two-factor secret are cleared
- Linked sign-in methods (for example Google sign-in) and passkeys are deleted
- All your sessions are signed out and can no longer be used
- We attempt to cancel any active subscription for your organization
What deletion does not do automatically:
- It does not by itself delete your connected social accounts, the access tokens we hold for them, or the profile and analytics data we collected from them. Disconnect each connected account in Settings before deleting your account, as described in Section 6, or ask us to do so
- It does not by itself delete messages, deal and campaign content, deliverables, profile content, support tickets or product analytics linked to your account. We keep this data as needed for the other users to whom it relates, for dispute handling, security and legal compliance, and it is no longer linked to your name or email on the account record. If you want specific content removed, tell us at the email in Section 2 and we will tell you what can be removed and what must be kept
- It does not remove copies that exist in backups or logs until they are overwritten in the ordinary course
What we keep, and why:
Financial, invoice, payment, ledger and GST/tax records connected to your account are retained, with your identity anonymized on the account record, for as long as Indian tax, accounting and company law requires. As general guidance only (not legal advice), certain books of account and tax records are commonly required to be kept for around eight years; the exact period depends on the record and the law in force. Records may be kept longer where needed to resolve an open dispute, investigate fraud or comply with a legal hold. Our payment processor also keeps its own records under its own policies.
Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, and after deletion we cannot export your account data (see our Shipping & Delivery Policy).
5. Processing Timeline
- Self-service deletion in the app takes effect when you confirm it, if no deletion blocker applies
- For requests by email or contact form, we acknowledge within 48 hours and complete the request within 30 days of receipt, once any deletion blocker in Section 3 is resolved and your identity is verified. If we need more time or information we will tell you
6. Instagram, Facebook and Google / YouTube Data
If you connected an Instagram or YouTube account, GetCollab stores an access token and the profile, engagement, audience and post data it collected from that account. To remove it:
- Disconnect in GetCollab: In Settings, disconnect the social account. This deletes the stored access token and the profile, metrics, post and audience data we hold for that account. Where our records are kept for payment or legal reasons, Section 4 applies
- Or email us: If you cannot sign in or disconnect, write to grievance@getcollab.in with the account handle. We will remove the stored connection and its data within 30 days of verifying your request
- Revoke access at the platform: This stops GetCollab from fetching new data but does not itself delete data we already hold, so also disconnect in GetCollab or email us. Facebook / Instagram: Facebook Settings, Apps and Websites, remove GetCollab. Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions, remove GetCollab
GetCollab does not currently operate an automated Meta data deletion callback; deletion requests from Meta users are handled manually through this page and the email above.
